Photo overload! A month caught up.

A whole month has already passed us by. Micah and Mason turned a month old on the 8th ad passed their original due date on the 3rd. So much has happened. I picked a small (yes small compared to the number of photos I have already taken) selection of some of my favorite pics to share. Micah (blue) should be on the left and Mason (green) right when two similar pics.
(For some reason when this posted it posted them on top of one another instead of side by side. Micah should be the first photo out of 2 for some of you. )

6 days old

1 week

First outing to the park.

And of course big sister Madison being our little glamour girl.

She is loving helping in the kitchen.
She asks all the time to make cookies, and to pick and wash strawberries.

Another favorite activity is Playdoh and making cards with stickers and crayons. It has been so nice that she is able to do these things on her own at times. She is getting so independent.

Long awaited baby pictures

Hello Blog Followers! I know it has been over 2 weeks since I posted, but I guess I have a valid excuse. Two new babies! I have a ton of pictures to share with you from our last several weeks at home but they will have to wait for another time. I have a very limited window of all 3 kids sleeping to post right now. (Actually, as I am finishing this blog -an hour later than I started it- they are all up now and I have fed both babies. Like I said, a VERY limited window.)

Micah & Mason has been such a gift to our family. They are such good babies. They sleep and eat well and often. They are both very mellow and content. Both are over 6lbs now and the Dr. is happy with their growth. They have already been to Mommy to Mommy, church twice, Red Robin, the zoo, to visit new baby Kelton, and even a day of errand running with Nana's assistance. Now that daddy is back at work (as of today) I am sure the running will come to a screeching halt. It is quite the task to get out with all 3. Especially by myself.
Madison is such a good big sister. She loves to hold her brothers, help with diapers, give binkies, kisses, hugs, etc. The other day Micah started crying and she jumped down from the table saying, "Mom, he's crying. Get the binky. QUICK!" She is such a little mom already. Luckily, Micah and Mason don't seem to mind yet. They seem pretty unaware of her smothering tendencies.

For now, here are some of the boys hospital pictures. I promise I will be back soon with more.

Micah & Mason

They have arrived! Friday May 8th at 8:43 and 8:46 pm two little miracles joined our family.

Micah John 5lbs 9oz 18in (A)
Mason Russell 5lbs 14.5oz 18 3/4in (B)

We came home Monday afternoon and are doing well. It has been a bit of an adjustment due to feedings every 3hrs that we have to wake them for. We are figuring out our routine a little more each day.

Madison is in love with her new brothers. She wants to hold them constantly and help with anything she can. She has been a wonderful big sister so far.

Thank you all so much for all of your prayers and support as we awaited their arrival. Your friendships have continued to amaze us. We hope that we get the chance to return so much of the blessing we received to each of you at some point.

We are completely in love with our new little boys and cannot wait for you to all meet them. I will post more pictures when I get a chance but for now here are a few for now.

Nursery is ready and waiting!

This weekend Matt helped me complete Micah and Mason's nursery. I am really happy with how it turned out. Originally the next baby was going to be in what is now our guest room. We had left it unpainted so that we could decide on a color once we knew what we were having. Every other room in the house got paint. When we found out we were having twins we quickly realized that this room would not fit all the needed furniture and baby supplies. Because what is now the nursery had just been painted we decided to wait until we turn it into a big boy room to add wall color. All of that to explain the more neutral wall color. I tried to add color in other places so it wasn't too beige and white.
We went with a transportation theme from Pottery Barn. I found the wall art and name letters on Ebay custom made to coordinate with out bedding choice. I love how the letters turned out.

Looking in the door and moving right:

Now we just need two little boys to come and enjoy it.
