Happy 1st Birthday Madison!

I cannot believe an entire year has passed already. One year ago today our miracle girl entered the world. 8:33pm on Wed, December 13th. 7lbs 12oz and 20.5 inches Madison Kay Marteney joined our family. She has brought so much joy to our lives.

This year has been challenging, but so rewarding, and exciting all at the same time. Being a mom has been so much more than I could have imagined. It is truely the best job in the world.
We love you Madison! You are such a blessing. Happy Birthday our beautiful girl!

Happy Birthday Sydney!

Madison's best friend Sydney had her first birthday party last weekend. Dara did such a great job. The party was adorable. The girls enjoyed playing with a balloon together. And Sydney even shared a bit of her white chocolate ribbon from her cake. They both turn one this week. This year has gone so fast.

Madison Walking

Madison has started walking. As of today she walked more than crawled. She took her first few steps about 3 weeks ago and has gradually started venturing out more and more from furniture. It is so much fun. She always makes a growling noise when she plops down. She spends alot of her day pulling erveything out of the cupboard in the video. It has her snacks and cups. And her other norm, one sock on. She always pulls just one of them off. :)

There is about a 7sec delay before it starts. Sorry! Enjoy!

Thanksgiving and the Tree

We spent Thanksgiving in 3 places this year. We started out with Matt's family for dinner. Madison had her first taste of turkey seen below. We then went to both sets of my grandparents for dessert. Needless to say we of course ate way to much food. Madison had a great time with all of her extended family. Yesterday we braved the pouring down rain to get our christmas tree. Luckily they had 2 perfect trees(one for Nana and Poppy's house as well) right at the front. We didnt venture out to cut our own this year. It is up but not decorated yet. It should be a fun adventure trying to put up ornaments without little fingers taking them back off again.
