18months

It been way to long since I have posted a blog. We have been very busy the last month moving and getting unpacked. We had all new flooring put in the new house, painted every wall, planted flowers and a vegetable garden. It is starting to feel like home. We seem to have been gone a lot too. Matt is playing softball some evenings, we made a trip to Seattle for Memorial Day, and Matt went to Bend for a guys weekend. I will try to get pics up of those soon.

In the midst of all of this Madison seems to have turned into a little girl. She is definitely no longer a baby. She is quite independent and opinionated, as well as verbal. At 18months(Friday) she has 85 words (Yes thats right 85), can point to 16 body parts, she loves any animal, playing outside hunting for rocks, and insists on walking or running everywhere on her own. Even stairs. Her newest accomplishment today is going potty on the big girl toilet. We have been playing potty and sitting her on it for about a week. This morning we timed it just right and she went. She got 2 chocolate covered raisins and lots of cheering from mommy. We wont start full on potty training until the fall, but definitely a great start.
I love being her mommy! She is such a joy to have in our lives. I am amazed ever day by her. It is so much fun to see her learn and grow.

Here are a few pics to get you through til I can post again. I will try to catch up soon.

I love the picture of Madison on the couch - she is such a cutie! I can't believe she has 85 words! I'm hoping Eli will have 5 by 18 months! :)

She is getting so big! She looks especially grown up in that last picture where she has pigtails & is on the couch. I can't wait to see house pics after you get all settled in!
